For the last 11 years, AKJU has taken a team on a magical trip through historic locations such as London, York, Paris, Munich, Frankfurt, Nuremberg, Amsterdam, Cardiff, Blarney Castle, Stonehenge, Shannon, Bunratty Castle, Galway, Belfast, Londonderry, Kerry, Dingle and Edinburgh.  All of these stops included beautiful countryside’s, warm and friendly people and untold memories.  Every year, we visit new locations on our way to Dublin for the Irish Cup competition. This year’s itinerary includes many stops in beautiful Scotland to include Stirling Castle, St. Andrews Golf Course, Blair Athol Distillery, Culloden visitor center, Loch Ness Cruise, Urqhau’rt Castle, Commando Memorial, Fort William Wallace, Nairn, Glencoe, and Edinburgh.   Then we are off to Dublin by way of the Cairnyan/Larne Ferry and the Carrick-Arope-Rede Rope Bridge for additional sights, food and friendly people.  The Irish Cup will be held on June 21, 2008 at the National Basketball Arena in Dublin.  This is your opportunity for a trip of a lifetime!

The competition involves 5 or 6 different countries and over 500 competitors.  There is Karate, Judo, Weapons, Jujitsu and Grappling.  In 2007, the AKJU International Team stepped up to the challenge taking 67 medals and 1 Grand Championship. This was another outstanding effort by the AKJU International competitors.
